We are Self-Lovin' Hearts.
Self-Lovin' Hearts is an official nonprofit organization with the state of California and strives to normalize the beauty of our flaws and encourage youth to accept every aspect of themselves. We accomplish this through the mobilization of leaders and volunteers in order to provide youth with the significance of self-love.
Our Story
My name is Yesha Sacatani, the founder of Self-Lovin' Hearts! I started this nonprofit in hopes of inspiring others to love and accept every part of themselves as I realized I was not alone in struggling with self-love.

Starting in 8th grade when Covid hit, I spent more of my time on social media and found myself hating parts of my body and my appearance that I never hated before. I would compare myself to models and social media influencers and told myself I needed to be perfect. I started exercising every single day and counting my calories, but I was still unsatisfied with myself. After months of working out and attempting to diet, I was still unhappy.

I realized that I wanted to prioritize myself and stray away from figures on social media who portrayed unrealistic standards and opened up to my sister about my insecurities and struggles with loving myself, and realized that I was not alone, because she had also been going through similar hardships.

Going into high school, I felt healthier and happier but still battled with my insecurities every now and then. I still went through struggles of accepting myself, both physically and academically. As the rigor of my classes became more difficult overtime, I started opening up to my mom more than I ever used to, because she understood me more than anyone.

In the middle of my high school career, I realized that true happiness comes from the love you give yourself. As the founder of Self-Lovin' Hearts, I aim to inspire youth to embrace the beauty of their flaws as it is crucial to accepting every bit of ourselves and building a heart of self-love.
